After two arduous days of non-padded practice, the order has been restored to Jets Nation as rookie quarterback Zach Wilson and the team have finalized the terms of his rookie contract.
Ian Rappoport of the NFL Network re[ported the deal.
Wilson will get his signing bonus within the next 15 days and the Jets get the offset they wanted.
The contract is a four-year fully-guaranteed $35.1 million dollar deal with a $22.9 million signing bonus.
Wilson was the last first-round pick to sign their rookie deal, with the San Francisco 49ers signing fellow quarterback Trey Lance yesterday.
The first two days of practice were lead by quarterbacks Mike White and James Morgan sending Jets fans into a panic. While Wilson’s delayed arrival to camp will in no way impact his overall development, the fact that he was not there was disappointing.
Wilson flew into New York last night and he should be ready to practice right away.
